WHY RUSSIA?

Legendary investor and commodity guru Jim Rogers recently stated: “The fundamentals for agriculture have gotten better. The inventories are now at the lowest they’ve been in decades, not years. Sometime in the next few years, we’re going to have very serious shortages of food everywhere in the world and prices are going to go through the roof.”

So, take advantage of Jim Rogers’ prophecy… the Russian market capacity for grain, its derivatives, and meat is at least $5 billion. Russia offers favorable conditions for large-scale industrial farming:

  • 1. Up to 80 million acres of arable land is currently not being farmed
  • 2. Due to Russia's large supply of acreage (farm sizes between 5,000-50,000 ha) , investors can profit from all agricultural economies of scale and carry out highly cost-efficient production.
  • 3. In spite of current low yields, the turnover to land price per hectare ratio is far better than most big agricultural countries.
  • 4. Russian agricultural production is positively affected by the climate change and specialists expect longer growth periods for Western Siberia.
  • 5. Currently, Russia has a deficit in animal production (meat, poultry, dairy). The government is supportive of larger meat production which allows a significant increase in feed production.
  • 6. Russia does not allow GMO production. As a result, Russian soybeans fit requirements of West Europe’s poultry producers.
  • 7. Russia’s numerous agrarian universities and colleges meet Western standards and supply a sufficient number of well-skilled operators.

I can help you start a new business or drastically increase sales of an existing enterprise in Russian ag market. Nothing will be lost in translation.
